New Manhattan Studios
New Manhattan Studios is a New York-based studio specializing in fitness and physique art photography. We are a consortium of photographers, dedicated to capturing and showcasing the male torso at its masculine best. Working under the leadership of Wes Triplett, contributing photographers have included Rob Cline, Taylor Edwards, Logan Hart, Marc French, Kevin Donahoe and Alex Bustamante.
Since 2011, the studio has photographed over 300 models drawn from the runways, stages, gyms, schools, and studios of New York. Owing to our location, we are also fortunate to work with countless models from all over the nation and world who are passing through the city. Some are professional models; the majority are not; we respect the privacy and personal lives of all and are grateful that they trust us to photograph them in this manner.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Biography
I am the studio's founder and lead photographer. I edit all of the studio's published photography and am the voice of this website.
Basically, I am a storyteller. Starting as a photographer for a daily newspaper in Northern California at the age of 16, my roots in photojournalism have informed my work. Years spent working on Madison Avenue with photographers and art directors in some of the nation's top advertising agencies have further shaped my esthetic.
After a career in marketing, I founded New Manhattan Studios in 2011 as a retirement pastime and a means of returning to my creative roots. The studio operated as a commercial venture for several years before I decided that "clients" and "retirement" did not belong in the same paragraph. Since Covid, the studio has operated solely as an artistic venture, working only with models and projects of our choice.

Our Work
Our online galleries feature our most popular models but with over 300 models in the studio's portfolio, there is room here for only a rotating portion of our work.
By agreement with the models, we rarely share or post explicit photos online. The studio publishes a line of NSFW photo essays that feature full, uncensored images. These essays are available in our shop as instantly downloadable digital products.
Our Models
Our models are a true cross-section of contemporary lives, nationalities, sexual orientations, ethnicities, careers and professions. Men very much of the early 21st century, their individual stories and circumstances range from desperate to dreams-come-true, "everyday" to incredible and inspiring; each is unique and fascinating. From shy introverts to brazen extroverts, I hope we have captured some of their personalities in the photographs.
TEAM
Photographers & Photography
Our sessions are collaborative affairs between models and photographers. The model's personality, interests and motivation are principal drivers in setting the direction and nature of the work.
Most photo shoots consist of 2 or more photographers. From time to time, photographers are identified for some of the studio's iconic images, but this is a team effort and individual recognition is not a studio practice.
All photography appearing on this site is edited by the lead photographer and is the property of New Manhattan Studios.
